Boon Edam Keeps Going with More Features Added to the Lifeline Speedlane Swing
Edam, The Netherlands – Today, Royal Boon Edam International B.V announced the release of multiple upgrades to their top-selling Lifeline Speedlane Swing security speed gate. The new features include a Sound Module, Top Mount and Universal Elevator Destination Display.
Ever-Evolving Optimised Security Solutions
The end of 2018 saw the addition of the Lifeline Boost access control pedestal to the sleek and intuitive series of speed gates, followed earlier this year by the integration of Schindler’s PORT 4 mini transit intelligence solution into the Lifeline Speedlane Swing.
Mark de Jong, Senior Product Manager, Royal Boon Edam International B.V. says: "As much as we have been successful with the Lifeline series since its launch in 2015, it is important for us to continue developing the product series in order for us to satisfy our customer’s needs. These new features will allow us to improve not only the functionality of the product but also introduce new integration possibilities to the market."
Sound Module – Security Breach Awareness
Sound detection is an excellent deterrent for unauthorised visitors. It is easily monitored remotely through a security system, manned by professional security personnel. With the latest upgrade of the Lifeline Speedlane Swing, an audible alarm has been introduced alongside the existing visible alarms to increase awareness of a breach in security. The sound module has five audio scenarios - each with three sounds and adjustable volume settings – providing freedom of choice and flexibility.
Top Mount Universal Access Control Stand
With technology never standing still, it is important that your chosen security access solution keeps up with the trends and be able to facilitate new technologies in access control, without incurring large additional costs.
The Top Mount is a universal stand that can be mounted on top of the Lifeline Speedlane Swing cabinet unit. It can accommodate a variety of access control systems and can be placed on either the secured or non-secured side.
The Top Mount is an alternative to the recently launched Lifeline Boost access control pedestal, which is positioned independently in front of a lane cabinet, rather than the top mount which is mounted on the top of a cabinet.
Universal Elevator Destination Display
Vertical urbanisation is a trend the world is watching closely and seeing unfold before our eyes as both commercial and residential growth goes upwards. The elevator is now expected to be secure as well as intelligent and provide an integral part of a security access solution. As demanded by the market, the universal elevator destination display is a new option available on the Lifeline Speedlane Swing.
This option contains 8 LEDs to assign an elevator. These LEDs are externally controlled by the elevator manufacturer and their technology which is integrated with our feature. The universal display can show either numbers or letters and the display can be integrated into the top of the lane for standard lanes or lower down on the side of the cabinet for user-friendly disabled access.
All these progressive features are available to order throughout the EMEA, the Americas and Asia regions.
