Aberdeen's Silver Fin Building wins BCO Regional Awards
A building helping to increase growth, prosperity and professional rejuvenation wins gold at the British Council for Offices Scottish Regional Awards 2018.
Recognition for encouraging the growth of a local business community
The Silver Fin Building which sits at the end of Union Street is given award-winning recognition for its excellence within the office sector. The Commercial Workplace Award scoop has come in almost a year after its next-door neighbour, The Capital Building, received the same recognition. The £65million,132,000sq ft office development homes an additional nine floors of Grade 'A' office space plus an extra 4 levels of underground car parking within Aberdeen's rapidly changing city centre.
A ‘brave approach’ to the design and execution
First revealed back in the autumn of 2017, the new addition to Aberdeen's professional landscape utilises high quality, locally sourced materials internally and externally helping the site to achieve high BREEAM ratings. Inside the office building is a feature reception hall with a four-story atrium. The stunning atrium features Swinglane 900s, that help reception to monitor visitors through accurately detecting users of the security lanes.
