Case Study: Heron Tower Bespoke Swinglane Security Turnstile Design
The project at Heron Tower saw the design and manufacture of completely bespoke security turnstiles befitting the Architects specifications for this particular project. Specially designed security features were created, making the finished product a bespoke Swinglane which offers seamless, efficient and secure access control for staff and visitors, whilst remaining aesthetically pleasing and complementing the entrance area design.

The O2 Arena
With only 13 weeks from tender to site, Boon Edam Ltd was asked to lend an expert hand in the transformation of London’s Millennium Dome into a sports and music venue. As one of the most recognized landmarks, with 100m high yellow support towers, Boon Edam Ltd were tasked in providing a crowd controlling solution for the central arena.

Adjacent to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, and a prominent gateway to St Katherine’s Dock, Tower Bridge House was designed as an energy efficient, speculative office building by Richard Rogers Partnership. Dealing with 2 Architects and 3 Contractors in this multi-tenanted financial centre, Boon Edam Ltd set the specifications for both Crystal Tourniket revolving doors and Pedestrian Security Lanes.

The Green Evolution
The ‘green hype’ has produced a number of responsible products in the past couple of years. But long before that, in the late 1900s there was the revolving door: green whether it liked it or not. The Dutch ‘mini-multinational’ Royal Boon Edam was a pioneer in 1903 and is now the world market leader.
